In the wise words of my wonderful Dad: “Appreciation is the key to life.” A statement I will never forget and always live my life by. I believe that it is so important to be grateful for what we have in our lives, especially the people in them. I don’t ever want to imagine a life without those closest to me. I do my best to make sure everyone I love, know how special they are, not just to me, but to the universe

Appreciation and manifestation go hand in hand. What we pay attention to, we attract more of, which is why it’s so important to be actively thankful for what we have and to celebrate both big and small wins. We hear so many sayings along the lines of “what you think about, you bring about” and “thoughts are things,” because it’s true. We’re naturally manifesting things to us, all the time, we might just not be aware of it, whether it be a positive experience or a negative one, we called it in. This is why I talk about being intentional with our thoughts and being the energy you want to attract, because if you’re already calling things in, it may as well be the things you truly want

When we focus on the things in our life that we’re grateful for, not only does it attract more of what we want, it can actually jumpstart the production of dopamine and serotonin in our brain, which lifts our mood, encourages deeper sleep and has positive effects on our overall wellbeing, it really is that good for us

Focusing on gratitude brings greater happiness, builds self-esteem and increases empathy

Here are a few ways we can practise gratitude daily:

Mindfulness and meditation: Sit/lay peacefully and focus on everything you have in your life, drop into your heart and be present with it all. Whether it’s something you consider positive or negative, reflect on the lessons you learnt and be appreciative of the growth you gained. You might visualise different experiences, and remember them fondly, or imagine what life could be like in the absence of what you’re grateful for. This can help you feel more appreciative and avoid taking what you love for granted

Journalling: Write down specific things that you’re grateful for, go into as much detail as possible. Why are you grateful for these people, experiences or things? What type of impact do they have on your life? Knowing why you’re grateful is so much more effective than just writing lines about the things you have around you. When we explain why, we reach a deeper level of appreciation, allowing ourselves to actually feel the emotion of gratitude, giving us larger opportunities to attract more of it

Language is more important than you might think, our words hold so much energy, and the universe is always listening. Saying things like “I get to” instead of “I have to” changes the energy of the entire sentence and allows us to show up with gratitude and choice, which instantly changes our perspective of the situation

Some of my favourite questions to ask the universe are “how does it get better than this?” and “what else is possible?” I learnt these from my Mum, it doesn’t matter if the situation is perceived as good or bad, she always asks these questions, encouraging the universe to bring us an even better outcome, and from our experience, it works. These questions and other beautiful tools were taught to her through Access Consciousness. Their simple yet effective techniques focus on your knowledge of yourself and the world around you, empowering you to sit in the question, instead of judgment. “Many modalities clear the limitations built around words, Access clears the energy underneath the words”

How often do we hear people say “it doesn’t get much better than this” when they’re having a great day, or while looking at some breathtaking view? Have you ever considered that by using words like these, we’re actually limiting the energy flow and cutting off the possibility of something even better coming our way?

Neither the universe nor your subconscious knows the difference between good or bad thoughts, small or big goals, clear or vague visions, whatever it is that you focus on, you attract more of. If you have a vision for what you’d like your life to be, you can manifest it. From the finer details of your day to major milestones, it’s all yours, and it’s time to call it in

Get clear on what it is that you really want. What sensations will you feel when you do obtain or achieve it? What will it look like, feel like, sound like? Envision it, meditate on it, act as if it has already happened and use present tense words as if you already have it in your hands

Write it down, there’s something about the physical act of writing it in your own hand-writing that affirms the goal or desire. Getting it out of your brain and onto a tangible page allows it to flow from dream into reality

Start taking actionable steps towards it, when you do, the universe will reward you by speeding up the process and bringing it to fruition

Surrender, trust and believe, don’t be attached to the results, trust that if you don’t get exactly what you’re asking for, it’s because something better is on its way to you. Detach yourself from the timeline in which you expect things to happen, everything is always happening for you, in divine timing

Be present with where you’re at, each step of the journey should be celebrated, not just the end results. Be grateful for what you currently have, so that you can continue to attract more things to be grateful for. We attract what we are in vibrational alignment with, so when we show up with gratitude and love for what we do have, it allows us to be in the vibrational space to receive

If you notice yourself having limiting beliefs and thoughts that are not in alignment with who you want to be and what you want to call in, the best thing you can do is to acknowledge them and get curious about what’s underlying. Addressing these will help you to learn more about yourself and overcoming them can assist in achieving your goals even quicker

If there’s something in your life that limits your happiness, you get to change that. Whether it be a job, relationship, living situation, money story, anything that feels like it’s weighing heavy on your life, you get to take action and choose something different. You could set boundaries and make changes within your current situation or you could remove them from your life by quitting the job, leaving the relationship or moving house, these things may sound difficult, but the sense of peace that’s waiting for you on the other side of that challenging conversation will be so worth it and you’ll be so proud of yourself for taking steps towards a happier life

Letting go of the things that are holding us back, is a great way to signal to the universe that we are actually ready for what we say we want. Although it can be really hard to let go, sometimes it’s even harder staying stuck where we are, never moving forward. By making these changes, we are creating space for the people, places and things that are actually in alignment with us, that will assist us to live a fulfilled life of true authenticity

It’s important to trust the process, and truly believe that what you’ve asked for is coming. Use affirmative language, such as “I am,” you could even have your own daily affirmations that you say as part of your routine, affirming to yourself and to the universe that what you want is so imminent that you practically already have it in front of you

Please remember that you are worthy

You are worthy of everything you have dreamed of and more. Don’t be afraid to receive what you want and achieve big goals. You deserve it all, so allow it to manifest!
